Pavel Alexandrovich Tochilin
Associate Professor of the department of Systems Analysis, the faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics (CMC), Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), candidate in physical and mathematical sciences (PhD equivalent).
In 2005 graduated with honors from the CMC faculty of Moscow State University and entered the postgraduate study at the CMC faculty, the department of Systems Analysis, scientific supervisor – academician A.B. Kurzhanski. In 2009 P.A. Tochilin defended his candidate’s thesis on the topic ?Problems of reachability and control synthesis for hybrid systems?.
Since 2007 he has been working at the CMC faculty as an assistant professor, associate professor (since 2014). He has an extensive experience in teaching courses such as ?Mathematical Analysis?, ?Functional Analysis?, ?Stability Theory?, ?Theory of Stabilization?, ?Laplace and Fourier Transforms?, ?Modeling and Control of Transport Flows?, ?Computer Practicum?. Since 2010 he has been a lecturer on the course ?Dynamic Programming? for the master’s degree students of the department of Control and Applied Mathematics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Since 2019 he has been a lecturer on the course ?Algebra and Geometry?, ?Mathematical Analysis 4? (in 2020-2021) and ?Functional Analysis? (in 2020-2021) for the students of the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics. P.A. Tochilin has a rich experience of scientific supervision. In different years 28 students of MSU and MSU-BIT universities defended their final qualifying works and masters’ theses under his scientific supervision.
P.A. Tochilin takes an active part in the work of the CMC faculty and also the department of Systems Analysis. From 2011 to 2017 he was the supervisor of the course of the CMC Faculty. Since 2012, he has been the scientific secretary of the Department of System Analysis of the CMC Faculty of Moscow State University.
The area of scientific interests of P.A. Tochilin includes control problems for hybrid and switched systems, numerical methods in control theory, autonomous motion control techniques. He has more than 20 publications in the leading Russian and international scientific journals. The results of his work have been presented at major international conferences: IFAC World Congresses, CDC, MICNON and others. In recent years, active work has been carried out to develop new effective numerical methods for solving feedback control problems for complex nonlinear systems that arise, for example, in robotics.
